I’ve been here three times and each time the staff has been very slow and rude. The first time I went with my elderly FIL who asked a staff member for a napkin and was told very sharply “that’s not my job”. Even if that is true, there are so many nice ways to say that (try: oh I’m sorry, I cant help you with that right now but napkins can be found at the front). The second time I visited, I waited more than 30 mins for a drip coffee. On my most recent and LAST trip, The iced coffee I received was essentially milk on ice and the staff was busy discussing an upcoming birthday party while the waiting room got smaller and smaller as more and more people waited for their drinks and food.

I stopped by with a group on my way through. First time at this shop, and I was not disappointed - I ordered the Beekeeper latte, and it was delicious! The rest of the group (most of whom are coffee connoisseurs) also enjoyed their drinks. I'd consider stopping again if/when I'm passing through. This shop has the feel of a small-town coffee shop. Service was friendly and patient with us as we decided what we wanted. Parking was easy to find, but we also stopped by mid-afternoon.

Best stop on our road trip south! The iced Carmella lattes were absolutely divine (and I am definitely a self proclaimed coffee snob). I had a delicious homemade breakfast burrito, stuffed with eggs, bacon, and hash browns (there were other meat and sauce choices, too) and my husband had a scrumptious chicken salad, croissant sandwich. We took two desserts to go, one carrot cake, and one cinnamon roll. Oh my goodness, they were both the best! The place is so cute and inviting and the young man serving as the barista was so kind and friendly. The cook/owner hand delivered our food to our table. This place is so wonderful. We give it an A+.

August 5, 2025 (5 ⭐) - On a visit to the State's capital city, I discovered Custom Cup Coffee. This shop was an unexpected find - friendly staff, nice atmosphere and GREAT coffee. A true 5⭐ visit. Custom Cup has been in business for 10 years. It sources the beans and roasts them on site. The staff reported they are roasting beans several days each week, ensuring the coffee is always fresh. Everything is ground on the spot from espresso to pour over to drip, including iced coffee drinks. I enjoyed a wonderful cortado made with Tanzanian beans, as I relaxed and took in the atmosphere. I took a drip for my ride home. It was sourced from Costa Rico and better than any drip coffee around. Of the coffee shops I have visited in Springfield, Custom Cup is #1. If you love espresso based coffee or simply freshly roasted and ground coffee, Custom Cup Coffee should be your stop. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Caffeine customized to your liking. On a day when I had to drop my car off at the tire shop for new tires, Emily and I took that as an invitation to go out of town for an afternoon. We headed out to Springfield since neither of us had been down there for awhile. First stop was… Custom Cup Coffee to get us caffeinated for an afternoon of shenanigans. We dropped in to a cozy little coffeehouse. This place had been on my list for awhile and on the way down, I gave Em a list of local coffee places we can try and this is the one that she picked and what a great choice it was. I got my usual Americano and Emily got the Beekeeper. Along with my love of coffee, I do love stickers and grabbed a giant one for $4 and the barista hooked us up with some free little ones. Score! They do have a small food menu, too, if you come here and need something to compliment your caffeinated drink. I usually look around and snap a few photos while waiting but I barely got turned around before my drink was being called out. That’s the fastest I’ve ever gotten an Americano. Emily’s drink was not far behind. Granted we had no one in front of us when we ordered, it was Jimmy Johns level of freaky fast. We w
